\"Koroglu\" oil tanker was built in “Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard in city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation in 2006. Ship`s length 145 m, breadth 17.30 m, depth 10.50 m, gross tonnage 7833 ton, net tonnage 3521 and deadweight 13030 ton. “Koroglu” carries out transportation of oil and oil products.

\"Azerbaijan\" passenger/ro-ro vessel was built in Pula Shipyard of Yugoslavia in 1985. Ship`s length is 147 m, breadth 17.50 m, depth 13.45 m, gross tonnage ton 11450, net tonnage 3435 and deadweight 3985 ton. The vessel of “Azerbaijan” performs carrying of passengers, carriages and cars in between Baku – Turkmenistan and Baku – Aktau lines.

\"Karabakh\" ro-ro cargo ship was built in Pula Shipyard of Croatia in 2005. Ship`s length is 147.04 m, breadth 17.50 m, depth 7.45 m, gross tonnage 8547 ton, net tonnage 3135 and deadweight 5985 ton. “Karabakh” ro-ro cargo ship performs carrying of cargo in carriages and transportation of cars.

\"Shah Ismayil Khatai\" oil tanker was built in “Krasnoye Sormovo” Shipyard in city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation in 2005. Ship`s length 145 m, breadth 17.30 m, depth 10.50 m, gross tonnage 7833 ton, net tonnage 3521 and deadweight 13470 ton. “Shah Ismayil Khatai” carries out transportation of oil and oil products.

\"Shusha\" oil tanker was built in “Krasnoye Sormovo” Shipyard in city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation in 2009. Ship`s length 145 m, breadth 17.30 m, depth 10.50 m, gross tonnage 7834 ton, net tonnage 3356 and deadweight 13008 ton. “Shusha” carries out transportation of oil and oil products.

\"Zengezur\" oil tanker was built in “Krasnoye Sormovo” Shipyard in city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation in 2008. Ship`s length 145 m, breadth 17.30 m, depth 10.50 m, gross tonnage 7834 ton, net tonnage 3356 and deadweight 13054 ton. “Zengezur” carries out transportation of oil and oil products.

\"Akademik Zarifa Aliyeva\" ro-ro cargo ship was built in Pula Shipyard of Croatia in 2006. Emphasizing the friendly relationships between Azerbaijan – Turkey have historical roots, Gudrat Gurbanov the Head of the State Maritime Administration stated that the cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey on maritime transport is in high level. Concerns of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev on developments of maritime transport sector, accomplishments on fleet innovations and detailed information was given in regards to contributions that provided by our Republic to the improvements of transport corridors. It was emphasized during the meeting the continual support of our country to the Republic of Turkey in Assembly, the highest Governing Body of the International Maritime Organization, the specialized agency of United Nations furthermore in elections to Council of mentioned Organization and sessions at Sub-Committees.


The seminar was held on “The International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage (clc) 1992” and “The International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage (fund) 1992”

In the State Maritime Administration was held seminar on “the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage (CLC) 1992” and “the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation For Oil Pollution Damage (Fund) 1992” within the Twinning Project “Support to the State Maritime Administration to Improve Liability in Maritime Transport in the Republic of Azerbaijan” funded by the European Union.
The main purpose of the Twinning Project , which of the implementation has been started on 16 November, 2015 is to increase the capacity of the State Maritime Administration in the implementation and application of liability procedures foreseen in the International Conventions concerning maritime safety and prevention of marine pollution in Azerbaijan in conjunction with the legislation of European Union.


Information of the press service of the State Maritime Administration on special training courses recommended to all personnel of ships involved in the development of mobile, units and hydrocarbon deposits

To ensure maritime security, protection of human life and prevention of pollution from ships, according to the requirements of İnternational Maritime Organization RESOLUTION A.891(21) on “Recommendations on Training of Personnel on Mobile Offshore Units“, İnstruction of the Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (OPİTO) on “Training of experts on prevention of emergency situations on oil and gas industry and effective management of the competence” is recommended to conduct special training courses, which names listed below, to all personnel of the ships involved in the development of mobile, stationary offshore units and hydrocarbon deposits. However, in the future conduct of these courses will be deemed necessary.

During the reporting period,  the activities on enforcement and regulation of government policy on maritime affairs provided in national  legislation has been carried out by the State Maritime Administration relevant to the Constitution, laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, international agreements which the Republic of Azerbaijan is party to, and  “Statue of the State Maritime Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
In order for ensuring implementation of the “Seaports Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, proposals on adjusting the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, acts of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and normative-legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the above mentioned law submitted to relevant authorities.
